To accord with the LEADER principles of integrated and participatory development, SARD LAGs have designed their strategic action plan, including economic, social, cultural and environmental actions. To prepare LAG strategy and create the partnership, 10-12 working meetings were organized at each LAG in 2017. Calculating with the commonly spent hours and the number of participants, each LAG working group has spent around thousand working hours with common work; discussing, learning, planning local development process. It happened voluntarily. During the planning process, 500 local actions, projects have been identified by the eight LAGs with about 6 MEUR planned budget for a 5-years period. After signing the Partnership Agreements in November 2017, each LAG Council, which is the assembly of the members, approved the LAG participatory strategy documents.
In November 2017, members of eight Local Action Groups (LAGs), created by local stakeholders with the assistance of SARD, signed the formal Partnership Agreements, which are the basis of their common work.
